WE’RE GOING FLAT OUT FOR GOODWOOD
Goodwood. Britain’s finest automotive festival. And this year, Britain’s finest is exactly what you’ll find at the Jaguar stand.
The theme for 2015’s Festival of Speed is ‘Flat out and fearless’. As a brand as synonymous with British racing heritage as Goodwood itself, we’re putting our pedal to the metal in more ways than one – from the majestic New XJ to our upcoming world land-speed record partnership, BLOODHOUND.
FEARLESSLY FIRST - XJ
This year, Goodwood 2015 won’t just be any automotive gathering. It will be the venue for the first global public display of the New Jaguar XJ.
Here, New XJ will show the world exactly why it sits fearlessly at the front of our line-up. Built on our new aluminium intensive architecture, this flagship car has been fully revamped at every level – combining unerring power, next-generation technology and inexhaustible luxury like no other vehicle.
Join us at our Goodwood stand and take your part in Jaguar history as one of the first in the world meet the New XJ.
BLOODHOUND – THE 1000MPH CAR
Next year, on a plain in South Africa, Jaguar will be part of a team attempting to break the world land-speed record. Well, we say ‘break’, but with the current record standing at a mere 763mph, BLOODHOUND will more likely be attempting to decimate the record with a speed topping 1000mph.
Although at that speed it would only take BLOODHOUND 7.5 hours to drive from the Hakskeen Pan desert to Goodwood, unfortunately it won’t be there. Joining us, however, will be two specially-customised rapid response Jaguars – a New XJ and F-TYPE R Coupé – used in our role as engineering partner to this rocket-powered speed machine.
FLAT OUT EXCITEMENT IN AN F-TYPE
For the first time at Goodwood, we’re giving visitors the chance to experience an F-TYPE being pushed to the limit. In the F-TYPE Dynamic experience, a professional driver will test your fear threshold on our private circuit behind the stand. Find out just how far from your comfort zone an F-TYPE can take you.
WE’RE NOT STOPPING THERE
Discover a host of Jaguar Heritage models from the XJ13 and Broadspeed XJ12c to the long-nosed D-type. Meet the All-New XF in its UK public debut since being launched in New York last March. Watch the stunning new XE S take on the legendary hill run not to mention the F-TYPE Project 7 in its first dynamic public display as a production vehicle. Like we said, we’re going flat out for Goodwood this year.
JAGUAR AND GOODWOOD, THEN AND NOW
They say a picture says a thousand words.
In which case, we’ll stop speaking and let this album of evocative images do all the talking for us.
